Comfortable Senior Care

Haven’s comfortable and welcoming senior care home is warm and cozy like your family home.

We know that the last thing you want to do is put your loved one in a cold, sterile “facility.” They may not be able to handle daily care tasks, but they are still aware of their surroundings. And whether or not your loved one recognizes that they need more care than you can provide, we understand that you don’t want them to feel confused or “institutionalized.”

At Haven, residents don’t feel like they have been placed in a facility. They feel at home from the moment they arrive. Large, open areas with beautiful wood-laminate floors make it easy to navigate with wheelchairs and walkers. The built-in bookcases and traditional cabinets, as well as houseplants, wall hangings, and a fish aquarium make Haven feel homey and warm. And friendly residents are on hand to welcome newcomers and to help them make new friends.

Large windows allow residents to enjoy sunlight year-round, boosting moods and providing bright, natural lighting. Beautiful drapes are closed in the evening, creating a feeling reminiscent of cozy evenings at home with their families.

Residents can hang out in the dining area and watch (or even help with!) dinner preparations in the efficient and newly remodeled see-through kitchen. The menu might include home-cooked foods like meatloaf, potatoes, veggies, and homemade applesauce. A typical grocery store order for the week might include chicken, ground beef, pork loins, turkey, potatoes, green beans, frozen veggies, bananas, grapes, strawberries, eggs, juice, bread, creamy peanut butter, yogurt, and ice cream. With all that good, fresh food, you know your loved one will be served tasty and nutritious home-cooked meals.

Residents can get a trim or a new hairstyle in the newly remodeled hair salon. They can also play the piano or just sing along.

When the weather is nice, residents love sitting on the beautiful covered porch to relax and take in the warm sunshine. They also enjoy viewing birds at the feeder and watching for blooms in the flower pots they helped plant.

Your loved one will enjoy their new home, and you can look forward to visits and to joining them for special events like Memorial Day and Fourth of July picnics, Mother’s Day Tea, Valentine’s Day parties, St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, Christmas caroling, Easter egg coloring, and other seasonal fun.
